Dough:
- 3½ oz flour
- 1 oz ground hazelnuts
- 2½ oz ground almonds
- 2 pinches powdered cinnamon
- 2 pinches salt
- 1 oz water
- 1 oz sugar
- 1 oz Grand Marnier® Cordon Rouge liqueur
- Zest of 1 orange
Decoration:
- 3½ oz brown sugar
- Zest of 1 orange
- 3½ oz dark chocolate, melted
- Bring the water, sugar and orange zest to the boil.
Remove from the heat and add the Grand Marnier® Cordon Rouge liqueur.
Add the flour, ground hazelnuts and almonds, cinnamon and salt and stir well to combine.
Let the dough rest for 10 min then shape it into sticks by rolling small pieces of dough on the work surface using your hands.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 300°F in a ventilated oven for 10 min until they are just beginning to turn golden in color.
Let cool then lightly coat with the melted dark chocolate using a pastry brush.
Sprinkle with the brown sugar combined with the orange zest and let cool.
Gently remove the sticks from the baking sheet and arrange attractively in a glass.
